Since its birth on March 17th, 1898, the Hume Hotel has been a Nelson landmark for over one hundred years. The Tribune describes the Hume Hotel on the day of its opening: between Winnipeg on the east and Vancouver to the west, no such building exists. In 1980, the current owners set forth on a major heritage revitalization program that, over the years, has brought the Grand Old Dame of Nelson back to its original splendour. This full-service hotel features a free full hot breakfast for all room guests every morning that earned the Best Hotel for Breakfast award by Ski Canada Magazine in 1999. Our facilities include 43 nostalgic guest rooms, The General Store Restaurant, The Library Lounge, Mikes Place Pub, Taffy Jacks Cabaret and a Cold Beer, Wine & Spirits Shoppe. Our greatest asset? our staff of course. Come and enjoy an authentic taste of Nelsons heritage as we celebrate over a century of hospitality excellence.
